Pogues Re-Issues to be released 11.15.2004
According to a news release from Warner Music, the entire Pogues catalog
is being reissued on November 15th. Of particular interest though is the
many extra tracks, some singles, but some tracks that have never seen
the light of day. So, another fucking $50 or $60 bucks I am going to have to spend
next month. Dammit, but hot damn.
Spider Stacy in NYC, St. Patrick's Day 2004
For those of you lucky fucks over in the UK and Ireland, The Pogues will be doing their Christmas dates, but Cait O'Riordan, former bass player and ex-wife of Elvis Costello, will be joining the band for the first time since being unceremoniously ousted nearly two decades ago. There have been rumors that the band will be making a journey to the US, but don't hold your breath, as it's always up to the whim of Shane. I think that I'd probably start going to church again, if The Pogues were to actually make it over here again. I'd make my mother proud, even if it were because of an old Irish drunk.
