Today is the day.
I just returned from casting my vote for Kerry/Edwards. Damn it was satisfying, though not quite as satisfying as casting my primary vote for Howard Dean. Even so, Kerry has shown himself to be a good candidate. Taking a long look at his career in public service, I do trust him. He is a deliberative man and I appreciate that. Sometimes the gut is good, but for the most part it is not a good indicator of right or wrong. Especially when we have convinced ourselves of our own righteousness. When Bush says that he is firm and steadfast, that does not inspire confidence. The facts speak for themself, as his steadfastness, has emerged as ignorance and stubborness. It has shown itself as arrogance. This is not what we need in a leader of the United States. We need a humble man, who can admit when they are wrong. Who truly means, "The Buck Stops Here."
That he has not shown to be true. It is blame everyone else, even our troops.
I voted for Kerry/Edwards with joy. I voted for change. I voted to save our democracy. I voted for you.
If you are reading this and have not voted, go.
Vote for democracy, not the coming theocracy.
