Must Read: Bill Moyers-"Battlefield Earth"
"The environment is in trouble and the religious right doesn't care. It's time to act as if the future depends on us – because it does." - Bill Moyers
If you have not take the time to watch "Now With Bill Moyers", do so and quickly. Bill Moyers is one of the best, if not the best journalist in this country. He is not afraid to speak truth to power, ever. He is not afraid to face the rights's bad boys, like Grover Norquist. He is quick to challenge them and in his own disarming way, creates a dialog. Moyers is retiring from "Now" in December, to concentrate on writing a book on his former boss, President Lyndon B. Johnson.
Moyers speeches are always poignant, uplifting, and instructive calls to arms. In the increasingly entertainment driven world of journalism, this voice will be sorely missed. We must continue to fight the good fight and find others to fill the big shoes of folks like Bill Moyers.
