The Undertones Coming Back For More, NYC Dates Announced.
The Undertones are coming back. Two dates have been announced for the New York City area.
April 15th @ Maxwell's in Hoboken, NJ
April 17th @ Southpaw in Brooklyn
For those of you who were lucky enough to catch last year's dates, you know that this show is worth the travel. The boys, with new singer Paul McLoone, released a new album last year, "Get What You Need," as well as the incredible "Teenage Kicks" documentary. The show will consist of new tunes, as well as the best of their back catalog. Paul does not dissappoint as a replacement for Feargal Sharkey, and as a matter of fact gives a little bit of much needed oomph to the new songs and the old. Some older fans may kick my ass over this, but I missed The Undertones the first time around, and I was awash with hysteria when I saw them last year. My wife, not much for the punk rock merch, even bought herself a shirt.
So, get your tickets early, as it will sell out.
