I Never Thought I Would Say This, But...
I actually find myself agreeing with NYT Conservative Op-Ed Columnist David Brooks. Mr. Brooks, very rarely goes off Republican talking points, but today he attacks conservative hacks Ralph Reed, Grover Norquist, Jack Abramoff, and former Delay henchman, Michael Scanlon, for their lobbying links. These "men" have fleeced their clients by playing both sides of the coin in their dealings with Indian Tribes, etc... Ralph Reed, former head of the Christian Coalition, has made a mint in lobbying for and against Indian Gambling. This little man, who will never look more than 25 years old, is a sleazeball. Even as the head of the Christian Coalition, I never felt the man fell far from the tree of political graft. I guess learning from the best, Pat Robertson. Of course the Christian Conservatives will be led to believe that this is an attack orchestrated by the left and will ignore the obvious, their leaders are corrupt and are using them to consolidate their base of power in order to profit off of their poor ass backs. Kudos to David Brooks for injecting pulling back the curtain on the current state of the ruling Republican Majority, if even for a second. Read the Brooks Op-Ed Here.
