The Dead 60's Coming To America.

Channeling The Clash, The Specials, The Upsetters, and The Gang of Four, Liverpool's The Dead 60's are due on these shores beginning next month. The boys will be opening for Garbage on a number of dates and headlining the rest. Three NYC area dates are slated.
The UK and Ireland are churning out some of the most infectious music around. Mining 70's and 80's punk and postpunk and making the music their own. It would not be out of line to term this "Another British Invasion." Seeing that we are overrun by some of the most godawful emo, hip hop, and teenie pop ever to be heard, this is a welcome respite to your ears. I have to say that I am really tired of the retreads of the retreads of the not so good retreads that passes for alternative music today. This new invasion from across the pond, is breathing life into the moribund music industry. Bloc Party, The Futureheads, Snow Patrol, Kasabian, etc..., are playing to sold out audiences nationwide and The Dead 60's should take their place alongside them. I've been waiting for this band forever and their recent releases, all singles and eps, have not dissappointed. Dead 60's fans are waiting with baited breath for the group's debut full length due out in June on Deltasonic, home of The Zutons and others.
Do not wait. Buy your tickets now. This will be a orgasmic Clash/Specials/Dub treat. Long live The Dead 60's.
